Midland is committed to the environment and to our local communities. That’s why, every year for Earth Day, our locations participate in a variety of initiatives that seek to help the planet. In past years, this has meant everything from building bat boxes to bird houses. This year, all four of our locations participated in our annual trash cleanups.
At Tonawanda, employees cleaned up the bike and walking trail that runs behind the plant to help keep an important recreation space looking good. At Lyons, employees filled over three bags of trash along Cole Road. In Bloomsburg, our employees cleaned over two miles of roadway, a section of highway that we are proud to have adopted. In Clearfield, litter was collected along the road near the plant.
Taking time out of the day to clean up trash might only make a small difference, but it helps our communities look beautiful and maintain balanced ecosystems for local wildlife and plant life. We’re so proud to have employees that are engaged with doing good. And we’re so proud to be part of the Colas family of companies. The Colas Theme for Earth Day 2025 was Acceptability- Listen & Act.
